Too harsh? (Taken with instagram)
I guess I don’t really get it, this religion thing that people let consume their lives. Why do people live by it? It’s a set of rules that you have to abide by or you’re damned to hell or something. Why do people let some stupid set of rules tell them what they can and can’t do? Do you need this set of rules to tell you how to be a good person? No, no you don’t. You can be a good person without living by these rules.
I get that other people need some religion to guide there life, to stop them from being an alcoholic, to gather faith from, to give their life some sort of meaning. But I just don’t understand why. Why can’t people just believe in themselves, have faith in themselves, give themselves a meaning in life.
I know that some people really digg religion but you shouldn’t let it consume your life. If you wanna date another dude date one. If you wanna date another girl, date another girl. If you wanna look and act like the oppose gender do it. Don’t let some god that we can’t even prove exists tell you that you can’t. As for me, nothing will set rules for what I can and can’t do except for me. That doesn’t mean that I’m some psycho path. It means that I’m smart enough to know what’s right and what’s wrong and I’m informed enough to make the right choice.
Bicycles are probably the greatest inventions we have today. Bicycles are energy efficient, way better for your body than driving, and a fun recreational activity. Bicycles are simple, they don’t need oil or gas to fuel them, all they need is a little bit of human power. Riding a bike ten miles round trip will save you roughly ten dollars in gas a day, which also saves the world about two pounds of co2 pollution a day. Cars use gasoline as fuel, gasoline puts of tons of pollution, bicycles use no gasoline therefore making zero pollution. The Average amount of car accidents per year is 6.4 million, a crash every 4.8 seconds. The average amount of bicycles accidents per year is about 4 million. Bicycling is way better for your body than car commuting. First off just one hour of intense biking burns roughly 3000 calories. Biking shapes up that booty. Biking for 3 hours a week reduces you risk of heart problems by a shocking 50%. Biking releases feel-good enzymes that keep you energized and generally happier throughout the day. Biking an hour a day builds up your immune system by 68%. Biking puts your body in much better shape. Not only is biking better for the environment and you but it’s also a fun recreational activity. Wether it’s just a ride around town or a intense game of bike polo cycling is extremely fun.

My boss gave me this the other day for graduating high school, he’s so thoughtful.
There’s even a little note at the bottom that reads “Great job :) you should be very proud of this great accomplishment” ~ Mark
Day 2: A Book You Will Never Read Again
I would have to say the book I will never read again would be The Fountainhead
I swear she just makes up words and randomly tosses them onto the pages.
A kid, that’s probably about 7 years old, has more sense than a hell of a lot of people.

An innovative initiative is taking place in the Philippines to bring sustainable lighting to homes in impoverished communities. Empty plastic bottles are installed in the roof, filled with water and bleach they refract sunlight. These “solar light bulbs” provide light equivalent to a 55watt light bulb.
See how they’re made here. From Visual News
Damn that’s awesome.
brilliant! (i think I like these almost as much as the lamps powered by blood, though those are kinda impractical)
